EVA LECHNER DOESN’T CEASE TO AMAZE AND WINS THE SILVER MEDAL AT THE EUROPEAN CX IN SILVELLE.

In the past week she already gave us important signs that made us hope for a good performance, but the 34 years old girl from Bolzano really amazed everybody, conquering a European silver medal, behind Yara Kastelijn, one of the tough dutch athletes who learned CX during elementary school. Eva Lechner, sponsored by NORTHWAVE with the Extreme Ghost Pro on her feet, understood from the beginning that she was in good shape and didn’t miss the chance to go big. One lap after another, supported by a fantastic public, the Italian athlete passed every obstacle created during the race managing to conquer the silver medal. The performance of Eva gives a well deserved podium to Fausto Scotti’s Italian Team. To win the gold medal in a race that has seen her first for most of the time, has been the dutch athlete Yara Kastelijn, conquering the most important win of her career, and ending a series of wins by the Netherlands team in the three women’s category. Second place for Eva Lechner at only 12” from the winner, while Annemarie Worst, defending champion, placed 3rd at 26 seconds from her fellow countrywoman. “I knew I was in good shape, maybe I made a mistake in the first lap when Kastelijns started, but after that I managed to not loose track on her” comments Eva after her race, that wins the 2nd international medal after the world silver in 2014. And adds “ It’s amazing to win at home. The support of the public pushed me a lot, it never happened to me.”
